With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Kolopetinitsa's Nial Peyton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes, Camilo Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Kolopetinitsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Nial Peyton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the game, Kolopetinitsa's Nial Peyton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nial Peyton got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nial Peyton scored 3-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 25th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nial Peyton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Nial Peyton took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nial Peyton in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 40th minute, Nial Peyton made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nial Peyton in the 43rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Tsabis's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nial Peyton was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nial Peyton's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After 53 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Nial Peyton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Nial Peyton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Nial Peyton made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 66th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Kolopetinitsa's Nial Peyton. But to his dismay, Nial Peyton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Kolopetinitsa's Dimitris Botinos was substituted for Roberto-Carlos Carlos. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nial Peyton went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nial Peyton in the 76th minute of the match. Güralp Uğurtan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 78th minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panagiotis Kaliasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Nial Peyton came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Panagiotis Kaliasis who took care of the corner kick. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nial Peyton in the 85th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nial Peyton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kolopetinitsa's Nial Peyton in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Kouklakis to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kolopetinitsa.
