Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nial Peyton in the 7th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Kolopetinitsa's Panos Tsabis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Panos Tsabis scored 0-3 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Tsabis came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Nial Peyton made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 27 minutes into the match, Panagiotis Kaliasis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. In the 47th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Kolopetinitsa were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Panos Tsabis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Panos Tsabis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62ndth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 64th minute of play. Kolopetinitsa's Dimitris Botinos was substituted for Roberto-Carlos Carlos. When Felipe Ros fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Felipe Ros a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kolopetinitsa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
