In the 22nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Zeciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nechifor Zeciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes Bucura got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Cănănău. Nechifor Zeciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Nechifor Zeciu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlomagno Nunez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Bucura made a substitution. Mikolaj Roman replaced Erasmo Neiva. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nechifor Zeciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nechifor Zeciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Carlomagno Nunez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bucura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Bucura's Justo Eguzki managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Milagros Fraga in the 81 minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Bucura got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Cănănău. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 90th minute, Corneliu Cănănău hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Bucura's goalkeeper Nechifor Zeciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Mina. After a rather tough play, Bucura's Rod Stewart got a free kick in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, Bucura's Carlomagno Nunez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nechifor Zeciu made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. Justo Eguzki's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Eguzki helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Bucura got a freekick which was hit by Justo Eguzki.
