The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 10 played minutes Barnaba Blochowiak rounded Venezuela's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Blochowiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Bejrut. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Blochowiak in the 18th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Lech Felenak threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Stefan Bejrut took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Wieslaw Kalak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Barnaba Blochowiak in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Blochowiak in the 35th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mauro Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Barnaba Blochowiak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnaba Blochowiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

Brokopondo made a substitution. Che Guevara replaced Kazimierz Falkowski. Brokopondo's 정 남 was substituted for Stefan Bejrut. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 정 남, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Czapski in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Brokopondo were awarded a corner. Barnaba Blochowiak went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Brokopondo's corner Barnaba Blochowiak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66th minute Wieslaw Kalak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Brokopondo's Barnaba Blochowiak. But to his dismay, Barnaba Blochowiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Blochowiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Barnaba Blochowiak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Brokopondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lech Felenak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barnaba Blochowiak struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brokopondo. 정 남 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Blochowiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
