Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nuno Ocio made the kick off which started today's match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Ocio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Ocio in the 3rd minute of play. Corinthians Colombiano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hanni Arena in the 4th minute. Corinthians Colombiano's Hanni Arena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Reynardo Gaceo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 17 minutes into the match, Nuno Ocio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynardo Gaceo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Corinthians Colombiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Venezuela's Patricio Costa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hanni Arena. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynardo Gaceo having to interfere. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Nuno Ocio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hanni Arena in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipo Villasuso in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanni Arena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynardo Gaceo. That made the score 3-2 after 59 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Reynardo Gaceo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Patricio Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynardo Gaceo. That made the score 3-4 after 67 minutes of play. Corinthians Colombiano's Gonzalo Juaristi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Ocio in the 74th minute of play. Nuno Ocio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes, Corinthians Colombiano's Hanni Arena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Corinthians Colombiano reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipo Villasuso in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Hanni Arena didn't quite understand what happened when in the 85 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 87th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians Colombiano's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynardo Gaceo came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hanni Arena came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Corinthians Colombiano manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Venezuela to win.
