An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play forced Corinthians Colombiano's goalkeeper Reynardo Gaceo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Ocio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 89th match minute, Corinthians Colombiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orçun Özbilir to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes Corinthians Colombiano got a freekick which was hit by Hanni Arena. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. After 92 minutes, Nuno Ocio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians Colombiano and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nuno Ocio kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Reynardo Gaceo. 0-7.
