Edwin van der Sar made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin van der Sar was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-2. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pacorro Aguilar in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. In the 37th minute Pacorro Aguilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pacorro Aguilar in the 43rd minute of play. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacorro Aguilar in the 47th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pero Falla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Thiago Pliego 63 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ were awarded a corner. Pero Falla went to the cornerflag to take it. Pero Falla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The corner ended in Jedrzej Kloczko almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. In the 83rd minute, Noel Guerrero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 85 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Noel Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pero Falla got free with Thiago Pliego in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
