Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abram Sarmiento kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Alejandro Glaría stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Alejandro Glaría tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th match minute, lןןl La Coconeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Lollo to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Colombia's Pascual Carballar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ediberto Righi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Jorge Jiménez made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Alejandro Glaría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by José Luis Sánchez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ediberto Righi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 29th minute of play. lןןl La Coconeta's Alejandro Cabrera got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejandro Glaría blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Glaría in the 35th minute of the match. José Luis Sánchez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jorge Jiménez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Alejandro Glaría got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejandro Glaría was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kevin Mastache hit a great ball. If Alejandro Glaría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Glaría went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 65 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ediberto Righi, 2-2. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Ediberto Righi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Guido Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Righi made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Santino Seco sent off a good shot on target. After 80 minutes, Abram Secada made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. lןןl La Coconeta's Ediberto Righi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ediberto Righi was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Abram Secada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abram Secada really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Martin Payero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ediberto Righi made a huge save. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
