Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Brokopondo's Mauro Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Esteves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play forced Brokopondo's goalkeeper Mauro Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mauro Esteves had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Tobiasz Derlanga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Brokopondo got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Bialakowski. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brokopondo's goalkeeper Mauro Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Bejrut got free with Julio Vera in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauro Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Mauro Esteves however easily saved by the left post. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wieslaw Kalak kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Barnaba Blochowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barnaba Blochowiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barnaba Blochowiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Esteves was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brokopondo's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Esteves came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute of play. After 92 minutes Brokopondo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mauro Esteves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
