Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Olivedos's Edson Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víktor Mineiro was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Edson Mendes scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 1-0. 26 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Víktor Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albertinho Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Reis hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Esteban Carvallo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olivedos the free kick. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Víktor Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano Dias during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Doni Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Víktor Mineiro came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Olivedos's Víktor Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 71st minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when Esteban Carvallo put in a rough tackle. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Olivedos. Antônio Carlos Valadares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lautaro Navarro. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 86th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 90 minutes, Albertinho Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Cavalcante. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Mineiro having to interfere. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Mendes in the 97th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Olivedos were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
