Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) RIBEIRÃO FC's Lukáš Modrić started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after RIBEIRÃO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that RIBEIRÃO FC's Angelo Ongile managed to reach the ball for a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Modrić in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Angelo Ongile however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Ongile having to interfere. After a rather tough play, RIBEIRÃO FC's Nelson de Lara got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Ongile skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Ongile. That made the score 2-1 in the 81 minute of play. Angelo Ongile made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When João Augusto Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RIBEIRÃO FC's protests and gave João Augusto Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. João Augusto Pontes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Angelo Ongile in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because RIBEIRÃO FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
