Monty Rogers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Jarl Gunnarsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edward Mcdonald scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarl Gunnarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Tinglöf in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarl Gunnarsson made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute USA were awarded a corner. Cassius Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led USA's Cassius Byrne to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarl Gunnarsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Calle Målare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Målare in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Urban Kellberg struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schmeissen FC. 90 minutes into the game, Urban Kellberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
