After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Xavier Figueroa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albino Inguma quite easily take care of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Tadeo Ederono dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego, 1-0. Paunero's Aristide Iureș quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Fontirroig, made in the 25th minute of the game. After 41 played minutes Aristide Iureș could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Francesco Cilli struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paunero.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeo Ederono made a kick off. Paunero were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jose Rosario took the corner. In the 56th minute, Francesco Cilli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Paunero made a substitution. Ata Cante replaced Higinio Ticho. Albino Inguma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albino Inguma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Albino Inguma was a little too slow when Orlando Casaus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 3-1. The supporters of Chile booed when Paunero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paunero's Albino Inguma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Paunero from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Cilli in the 84th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paunero's Albino Inguma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Paunero from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, Aristide Iureș notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
