Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Alcântara in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ranko Perna to maneuver through the defense. Axel Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Tomé Montenegro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ranko Perna made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ali Kağan Erol. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Tomé Montenegro made a huge save. In the 37th minute Ronaldo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé Paiva took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ferreira Lopes MZC's corner Dedé Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Tomé Montenegro in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomé Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Martins's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ali Kağan Erol got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. A sloppy throw-in by Ranko Perna in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Luis Cazalla. After 79 minutes, Anísio Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferreira Lopes MZC and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Lucas. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 98th minute of play.
