Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Denis Calvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Calvino having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paulo Rudolfo was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Villa Gesell's players had a chance to rest. Atlético Villa Gesell's Paulo Rudolfo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

After a rather tough play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Cornelio Ixidor got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Atlético Villa Gesell's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Paulo Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Denis Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. Cornelio Ixidor kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Cornelio Ixidor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Calvino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Villa Gesell throughout the match.
