The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benicio Perfecto was the one to do the kick off. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Viviano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-20. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-21 without a chance for Tomas Viviano to make any attempt to save it. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
