The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 26th minute Reynaldo Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Chabier, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute of the match, Reynaldo Quinito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Noboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Cutberto. In the 37th minute of the match RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amador Donzel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Amador Donzel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play forced RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's goalkeeper Mustafa Arif Devrim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Mustafa Arif Devrim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Milagros Fraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Arif Devrim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Quinito was the one to do the kick off. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Mustafa Arif Devrim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 68th minute of play.
