Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Inocencio Frichoso kicked off to start the match. Inocencio Frichoso scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inocencio Frichoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inocencio Frichoso went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Venancio Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Heriberto's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Heriberto helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Punta Alvear got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Heriberto. Ermegildo Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Heriberto in the 27th minute of play. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Oto. Venancio Oto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 35th minute, Bogdan Gopov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venancio Oto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the game, Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jacinto Eleazar struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punta Alvear. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ermegildo Heriberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Punta Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Gizon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Frichoso in the 64th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto. Venancio Oto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Frichoso in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Punta Alvear got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Godoy. Venancio Oto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Punta Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Gergori to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. Venancio Oto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
