Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Inocencio Frichoso started the match with the kick off. Ermegildo Heriberto took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Ermegildo Heriberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Venancio Oto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 23rd minute Inocencio Frichoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermegildo Heriberto took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. With a little luck, Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Inocencio Frichoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Carvallo. Punta Alvear's Edelmiro Veremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 50 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. After having played for 53 minutes, Camilo Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camilo Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Punta Alvear's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
