Güralp Uğurtan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Arturo Carvallo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kolopetinitsa's Vassilis Bogdanos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Güralp Uğurtan. Güralp Uğurtan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Güralp Uğurtan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Franco in the 21st minute. Güralp Uğurtan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Seco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Kolopetinitsa's Güralp Uğurtan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Kolopetinitsa from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Arturo Carvallo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kolopetinitsa's Lambros Karpodinis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 37th minute of the match, Francisco Seco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Güralp Uğurtan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Carballal got free with Güralp Uğurtan in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Güralp Uğurtan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 44th minute of the match. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Güralp Uğurtan made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Güralp Uğurtan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Alberto Gisbert scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Güralp Uğurtan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Güralp Uğurtan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 60th minute of play. Güralp Uğurtan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Cazalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güralp Uğurtan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Kolopetinitsa's Alkis Athanasiou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güralp Uğurtan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 90th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Güralp Uğurtan. Kolopetinitsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Uruguay fully deserved thier win.
