In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Nordestão Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Guilherme Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romon Oliver during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Romon Oliver hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Finlay Stair stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gil Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlus Waugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Finlay Stair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finlay Stair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Romon Oliver got a free kick in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Östen Svanér got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jarell Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kordal Duff struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gil Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. 74 minutes into the match, Romon Oliver notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca. Gil Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Gil Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kordal Duff in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Finlay Stair made a precise shot to the right of Gil Carioca. Nordestão Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Östen Svanér in the 85th minute. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Karlus Waugh hit a great ball. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Mesquita in the 90th minute of play. When Östen Svanér, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 91 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Demonde Jacobson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Roger Mesquita sent off a good shot on target.
