After a defensive mix-up in UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Bezerra came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Coelho in the 21st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nilmar Coelho sped through Panama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Bezerra having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Coelho in the 26th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Isidoro Sarmiento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nilmar Coelho hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

54 minutes into the match, UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but José Paulo Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. José Paulo Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilmar Coelho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Paulo Bezerra. José Paulo Bezerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 76 minutes into the game, İbrahim Ibrahimovic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute of the match, Nilmar Coelho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 85th match minute, UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Vaz to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of UNƗÃØ ĐΔ CΔƗXΔ ₣C's José Paulo Bezerra. José Paulo Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Luiz Queiroz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Panama were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
