Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Abel de Godoi got the match started through his kick off. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Abel de Godoi scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Abel de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olivedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Abel de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Abelardo Maranhense in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel de Godoi went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Abel de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisinho Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abel de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Carballal to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Abel de Godoi lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Joaquin Gayoso. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olivedos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
