Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Florida United the free kick. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Ruperto Amato:s penalty. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuralp Eracar couldn't finish the play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Camilo Gisbert put in a rough tackle. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Ruperto Amato:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Eracar in the 98th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
