Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Ricart Futebol Clube's Abel Ramalho got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Abel Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ricart Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Ramalho couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Abel Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Abel Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's attentive Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer managed to snatch the ball when Anthony Alvarado made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Andres Ekhi made a huge save. In the 41st minute of the match, Julian Murillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andres Ekhi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ricart Futebol Clube made a substitution. Eusebio Hori replaced Abel Ramalho. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebio Hori to strike the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Hori's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Rolando Noboa was a little too slow when Reinaldo Palmeira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-1. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Hori in the 72nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of play. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Ekhi having to interfere.
