After 5 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jenson Smith. Mustafa Kemal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Mustafa Kemal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Kemal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, İsrafil Yağız recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Day. İsrafil Yağız showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. İsrafil Yağız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arūnas Pukelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassius Byrne scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mustafa Kemal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 33 minutes, İsrafil Yağız managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Mintis Vilnius's supporters crossed their fingers, but İsrafil Yağız was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa Kemal was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. İsrafil Yağız could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. After some careless play in the USA defense, İsrafil Yağız kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Kemal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cassius Byrne hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tomas Danilevičius made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FK Mintis Vilnius getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Hubertas Dabkevičius hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Danilevičius in the 62nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Danilevičius in the 68th minute of play. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Danilevičius in the 72nd minute of play. A hard shot 75 in the game by Cassius Byrne from a close distance when the talented Mustafa Kemal managed to make a qualified save. FK Mintis Vilnius's players were relieved. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsrafil Yağız in the 77th minute of play. USA made a substitution. In the 94th minute, Dursun Soysal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenson Smith could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Mustafa Kemal made a huge save. USA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
