Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ingolf Ortmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Sedzikowski in the 14th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Leon Sedzikowski made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingolf Ortmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute of the match, Israel Acosta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 23rd minute Frente Revolucionario F.C were awarded a corner. Stein Van Eyke went to the cornerflag to take it. Stein Van Eyke made a great header on Frente Revolucionario F.C's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Frente Revolucionario F.C's Ingolf Ortmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikhail Nelepin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Frente Revolucionario F.C's Ingolf Ortmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Frente Revolucionario F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Sedzikowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Totín Morris during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Frente Revolucionario F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Stein Van Eyke got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frente Revolucionario F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Arias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ingolf Ortmark quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Israel Acosta to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Acosta in the 50th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Frente Revolucionario F.C's Israel Acosta in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Israel Acosta hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With his leg Ingolf Ortmark managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67thth minute of the game Israel Acosta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69th play minutes Israel Acosta shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 72nd match minute, Frente Revolucionario F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Acosta to maneuver through the defense. Frente Revolucionario F.C's Ingolf Ortmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stein Van Eyke in the 78th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Frente Revolucionario F.C got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stein Van Eyke ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Leon Sedzikowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 83rd minute, Emil Swoboda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingolf Ortmark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Stein Van Eyke came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leon Sedzikowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Frente Revolucionario F.C had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
