Felix Montes made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that C.D Las Palmas - Chota's Fede Saron managed to reach the ball for a save. 8 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fede Saron. C.D Las Palmas - Chota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fede Saron having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Fede Saron made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Fede Saron in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 22nd match minute, C.D Las Palmas - Chota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Badilla to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. C.D Las Palmas - Chota's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Fede Saron, making the score, 2-0. Fede Saron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fede Saron having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, C.D Las Palmas - Chota's goalkeeper Fede Saron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fede Saron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Fede Saron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Zlatan Junior managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.D Las Palmas - Chota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zlatan Junior was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 56 played minutes C.D Las Palmas - Chota got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Badilla. After 58 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Despite this Fede Saron quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Badilla. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play forced C.D Las Palmas - Chota's goalkeeper Fede Saron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Aurelio Badilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.D Las Palmas - Chota made a substitution. Marcus Brady replaced Hardeep Kunt. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Xavier Cean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Xavier Cean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, C.D Las Palmas - Chota's Mihajlo Đokaj got a free kick in the 94th minute. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fede Saron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
