The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bernardo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 54th minute of play. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gergely Bollobás. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Severo got free with Rolando Noboa in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Gergely Bollobás dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-2. S.C. Ferrari's Tord Söderqvist was substituted for Dorian Severo. In the 77th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 83rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. With his leg Rolando Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when S.C. Ferrari's Gergely Bollobás fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The S.C. Ferrari players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Peru from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
