He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of 姜真威. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 姜真威 was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
