Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Moises Fernandino started the match with the kick off. A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Jorge Magrina with Moises Fernandino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With his leg Waldir da Mata managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when El Salvador's Moises Fernandino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Waldir da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Leguizamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir da Mata having to interfere. Raimundo Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Leguizamo to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the game Joshua Curbelo made a throw-in which Abram Luque played forward. The throw-in from Luis Rubio in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Guilherme Loureiro. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Loureiro made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Váldson Berger. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Waldir da Mata in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Waldir da Mata came out and tried to block the shot, but Moises Fernandino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CE LAJEADENSE RS's zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir da Mata came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Umberto Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Waldir da Mata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Váldson Berger to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Curbelo. Jorge Magrina made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adilson Montenegro. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Váldson Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Waldir da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Rubio, made in the 67th minute of the game. Luís de Lara's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís de Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Luís de Lara hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Mateo Leguizamo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Leguizamo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir da Mata came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Raimundo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 86th minute. El Salvador's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
