Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Atilano Quinten made the kick off and thus started the match. Matías Patrone came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 10th play minutes Luz Tejedor shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Matías Patrone and just under the crossbar into goal. Matías Patrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. Matías Patrone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Matías Patrone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Patrone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arquímedes Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
