Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. In the 5thth minute of the game Dario Alegría who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rubens Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Alex Sági scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Walmyr Salles took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Alegría in the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AVAÍ F.C.'s Dario Alegría shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Dario Alegría hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Walmyr Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Dario Alegría hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmyr Salles to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Walmyr Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Walmyr Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute Dario Alegría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Dario Alegría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Alex Sági received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AVAÍ F.C.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Teles came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Dario Alegría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Alegría, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elias Figueroa who took care of the corner kick. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AVAÍ F.C.'s Teodoro Magalhães was substituted for Rubens Cabral. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Sági came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Salles in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. 8-0 came in the 86th minute when Elias Figueroa all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Dario Alegría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jailson Teles made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Walmyr Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AVAÍ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0.
