In the 5th minute, Bartlomiej Lichniak fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. If Bartlomiej Lichniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Gold's João Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bartlomiej Lichniak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Bartlomiej Lichniak took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Aristides Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute of the match River Gold got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Timoteo Jerrold ran over to the corner to take the kick. River Gold's Timoteo Jerrold was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartlomiej Lichniak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
River Gold made a substitution. Dante Ugutz replaced Aristides Bartuelo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Ildefonso Hernandez made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Virila however managed to control. River Gold's João Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute Bartlomiej Lichniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. João Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Clemencin in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After having played for 68 minutes, Reynaldo Leocadio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Gold's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Leocadio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartlomiej Lichniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, River Gold's Reynaldo Leocadio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Felix Virila hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes, River Gold's Timoteo Jerrold shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River Gold reached it. Salvador Gisbert made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that River Gold's João Paulista managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartlomiej Lichniak in the 82nd minute of the match. João Paulista made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. If Reynaldo Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Felipe Clemencin made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. River Gold fully deserved thier win.
