Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Edward Västerberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Edward Västerberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 19th minute. C.F.Fuenlabrada were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laureano Perfecto took the corner. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Edward Västerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastián Torrico was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sebastián Torrico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
