When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Joshua Garrido sped through OSASCO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tostão Domingues. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play forced OSASCO FC's goalkeeper Tostão Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjeld Hofgaard in the 25th minute. Tostão Domingues came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Santino Seco. But to his dismay, Santino Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. OSASCO FC's Tostão Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of OSASCO FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Germano Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pascual Carballar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Germano Bertassi in the 94 minute of the game. In the 94th minute, Ignacio Mastache fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tostão Domingues, passed just outside the right post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
