If Pascual Carballar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Mastache kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Alexander Manninger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Luis Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Aleixo in the 39th minute of the match. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Manninger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Farmer came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Legzdins in the 45th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Alexander Manninger in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them.
