Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Văduvescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chile's Pedro Indiano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Văduvescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Stere in the 20th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Paulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Lucian Stere tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Marian Văduvescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
