Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 9th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FC Steaua Pildesti's Zygmunt Dunajski in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. The corner led to FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Marian Văduvescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Văduvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nistor Costandache during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Costandache. Marian Văduvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Nicolae Barbu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Barbu in the 51st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Marian Văduvescu to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Dunajski came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Marian Văduvescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luca Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere. But to his dismay, Lucian Stere quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Marian Văduvescu made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Tafalla hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Paulescu in the 81st minute of play. When Mexico's Luca Zorita, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Marian Văduvescu in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Steaua Pildesti were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
