With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Waldir da Mata got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir da Mata made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luis Andino 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Waldir da Mata didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldir da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Waldir da Mata. 47 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Waldir da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the CE LAJEADENSE RS defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir da Mata. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir da Mata should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Waldir da Mata. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. 58 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldir da Mata. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Juan Sebastián Puig made in the 62nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luis Andino immediately put the ball in play. Waldir da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. 71 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Waldir da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Waldir da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Waldir da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 14-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir da Mata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Daniel Zorita scored 15-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir da Mata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldir da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 90th minute of the match. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
