João Vítor de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. João Vítor de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 61st minute Moises Suane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Diablos FC's Franklin Hostos was substituted for Moises Suane. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Diablos FC's Juan Regato seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan Regato the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Diablos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Regato had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Diablos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asencio Cuffaro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Asencio Cuffaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Vítor de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
