The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play. Christian Orlan made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 12th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Chile booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhuo Chao Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CE LAJEADENSE RS's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Orlan came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Orlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Casaus. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Orlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CE LAJEADENSE RS's Christian Orlan. Christian Orlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xavier Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th play minute Mariano Lacasa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christian Orlan. 2-0. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christian Orlan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Saad in the 46th minute of the match.

CE LAJEADENSE RS's Renato Quadros was substituted for Jorge Pires. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Orlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Orlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 3-1 after 60 minutes of play. Orlando Casaus scored 4-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Orlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Leo Iigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 4-2 after 68 minutes of play. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Christian Orlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. 76 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Orlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Christian Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 92nd minute of the match. A hard shot 93 in the game by Zhuo Chao Chuan from a close distance when the talented Thiago Pliego managed to make a qualified save. Chile's players were relieved. Christian Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chile fully deserved thier win.
