In the 5th minute Carlos Bartolome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ismael Tejedor in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cura del Futbol's Carolo Chus. Gilberto Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Fontirroig in the 10th minute of the match. Gilberto Aztore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mario Fernandino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gilberto Aztore to make any attempt to save it. Gilberto Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Fontirroig in the 37th minute of the match. When Eduardo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Bartolome stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 played minutes, Bolivia's Mario Fernandino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Aztore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolivia reached it. 57 minutes into the match, Mario Fernandino notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Aztore. Gilberto Aztore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Alfredo Ferrant made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Aztore. Cura del Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Eduardo Fontirroig sped through Cura del Futbol's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilberto Aztore. Gilberto Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso de la Cruz in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Aztore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Bolivia's Camilo Freixa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Bolivia from getting a goal against them. Mario Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Aztore having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Fontirroig in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Aztore saved Cura del Futbol from getting behind. In the 85th minute Mario Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. Ismael Tejedor made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cura del Futbol's Ernesto Ascencio. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bolivia fully deserved thier win.
