Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Cangeopol in the 3rd minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Gorjanu in the 8th minute of the match. Cornel Gorjanu scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 15th minute. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Basarab Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basarab Nuțu having to interfere. Maxim Moldovan kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Liviu Paraschivescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basarab Nuțu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornel Gorjanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Ştefănoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornel Gorjanu to make the kick off. Axel Tasiss short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Basarab Nuțu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Gorjanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Moldovan. 68 minutes into the match, ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's goalkeeper Basarab Nuțu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. In the 70th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Cangeopol didn't get a good kick on the ball.
