Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Erland in the 4th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mauro Primeiro sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Ovidiu Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Bartosz Erland fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dante Lacasa, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Mauro Primeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Erland in the 23rd minute of play. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Horst-Peter Unterberger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Poli Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horst-Peter Unterberger took the corner. The corner led Poli Timisoara's Tiger De Hond to a score. 2-0 in the 28th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartosz Erland in the 31st minute of play. When Bartosz Erland fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Timisoara's protests and gave Bartosz Erland a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bartosz Erland hit a great ball. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poli Timisoara's Horst-Peter Unterberger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dante Lacasa but with some difficulty. In the 37th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adib Ovi to maneuver through the defense. Ovidiu Adrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Çağdaş Yuvakuran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Adrian. Poli Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidiu Adrian. Ovidiu Adrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Bartosz Erland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. After 78 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horst-Peter Unterberger who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Poli Timisoara's corner Horst-Peter Unterberger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çağdaş Yuvakuran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Ovidiu Adrian threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ovidiu Adrian. That made the score 2-3 in the 84 minute of play. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Adrian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo scored 2-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidiu Adrian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
