Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Constantino Peter got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Constantino Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Constantino Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Stephen in the 6th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Peter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Peter in the 13th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Lautaro Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Eron. Cura del Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 29 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Stephen in the 34th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Eron having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cura del Futbol's Conrado Eron. Conrado Eron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Cura del Futbol players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 58th minute Constantino Peter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Carballo was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Constantino Peter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Noboa during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cura del Futbol booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Peter in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Noboa in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Eron saved Cura del Futbol from getting behind. If Marcial Stephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Peter scored 2-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantino Peter's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Peter came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cura del Futbol manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Costa Rica to win.
