In the 28th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Chus to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cura del Futbol's Conrado Eron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Bernardo Acosta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Carolo Chus made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bernardo Acosta. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Peter to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Stephen in the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Villa during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Marcial Stephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Conrado Eron when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Honduras booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Aztore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Conrado Eron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cura del Futbol throughout the match.
