He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrilete Cósmico reached it. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Orkatz in the 11th minute of play. If Amador Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Tamayo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Orkatz in the 29th minute of play. After 34 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Curbelo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Luciano Azeari in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Abram Luque fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Abram Luque a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 38th minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Moises Fernandino hit a great ball. Luciano Azeari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abram Luque hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Luciano Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Salvador were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Barrilete Cósmico for a fine match.
