Valério Toledo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valério Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, São Paulo da Floresta's Valério Toledo got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
