The supporters of bicho colorado booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but bicho colorado's Adan Rafel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adan Rafel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, bicho colorado's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Adan Rafel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. bicho colorado's Adan Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. bicho colorado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adan Rafel was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Rotondi got free with Dante Lacasa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Redondo in the 33rd minute of the match. Adan Rafel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adan Rafel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play forced bicho colorado's goalkeeper Adan Rafel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The bicho colorado fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when bicho colorado's Epigonoi Kouches looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adan Rafel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Omero in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind bicho colorado's goalkeeper Adan Rafel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Celedonio Omero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. bicho colorado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Omero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. bicho colorado's Diego Rotondi managed to work through Mexico's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Diego Rotondi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Rotondi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Fernando Redondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Rafel was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 69 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Adan Rafel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Omero in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Adan Rafel however easily saved by the left post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after bicho colorado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adan Rafel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Zorita in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adan Rafel saved bicho colorado from getting behind. Celedonio Omero struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for bicho colorado. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adan Rafel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
